On August 5th, we held the first "Nidec Tour," a new event for elementary school students, in Kyoto.

Previously, we have held "Nidec Day," an event offering free admission to the Nidec Kyoto Tower observation deck to Kyoto residents selected by lottery, and "Nidec School," a manufacturing event for elementary school students.

As a new initiative following these, we planned and held this tour, inviting elementary school students directly to Nidec's research and development center.

At Nidec Park Building C, our R&D center, the children challenged themselves to "make a motor." They were also very interested in touring the facilities and music boxes. Many participating children said, "I want to explore motors more for my independent research project!" It was a valuable opportunity for them to directly experience the fun of manufacturing.

After the tour, they traveled by bus to Nidec Kyoto Tower. They enjoyed local quizzes on the bus, the view from the observation deck, and fun gachapon (capsule toy) machines, making it a special day filled with smiles.
