Offsite executive meeting at Myoshinji Temple

On Aril 14, 2026, all Nidec executives gathered at Myoshinji Temple for an offsite meeting to better understand the series of issues and our direction going forward.

At the beginning of the meeting, I told the executives that we should be determined to build a new Nidec ourselves to overcome our current issues by working as a team

At present, with society losing trust in Nidec significantly, we must be strongly determined to act properly to regain trust as a company.

My feelings for the Re-Definition Declaration

In April, I issued a Re-Definition Declaration to demonstrate Nidec’s path forward, after working on language and rewriting repeatedly.

While we must maintain our long-fostered “monozukuri (manufacturing, crafting) technology” and “undauntable spirit” as the Nidec Group’s strengths, we must reform our introspective mindset.

Let’s make sure to always face society, our customers, and the world head-on, and work with wonderful colleagues that we can be proud of to the world. This is the very core of this Declaration. This meeting helped us go beyond regional and business borders to share each other’s thoughts globally.

We have a long way to go before solving all those issues to become a true global company. Let’s continue to share thoughts with each other transparently and build a new Nidec together.
