Entry into the water-cooling business
The water-cooling business is a completely new business for Nidec. While, at a glance, it may look different from our existing businesses, it actually turned out to be a field where we can utilize the precision machining and control technologies that Nidec has long fostered in its hard disk drive (HDD) development. Here’s how we started taking on challenges in this area, where we can utilize our strengths exactly as they are.
Meeting customers’ expectations
To meet our customers’ expectations – “Nidec should be able to do this.” – our development team had to start from scratch. Not knowing anything about this business, we researched all issues to solve them one by one. See how our engineers did their job in the initial stage of product development.
Absolute water-leak prevention
To datacenters, home to precision machines, the biggest worry was water leak. By applying the “absolute anti-leakage” design nurtured in its HDD development, Nidec successfully proved its products’ overwhelming safety.
